主讲概况:Kyo-Seon Kim,韩国江原大学教授。1996年在美国University of Cincinnat获得博士学位,1989至今在韩国江原大学工作,期间,在瑞士EPFL(洛桑联邦理工学院),日本Kyushu Univ.(九州大学),美国DuPont(杜邦企业)等多地做过访学研究。研究兴趣主要是功能型纳米颗粒的多元制备及应用,主要涉及液相合成,等离子体法及新型燃烧法的合成,并探索纳米结构在生物医学和能量转换方面的潜在应用。已在化工顶级期刊AIChE J. CES, Ind. Eng. Che. Res.等国际知名刊物上发表论文100余篇。 

主讲内容:Recent research activities at Kangwon National University related with preparation and application of nanoparticles will be introduced in this presentation. Specifically, the topics on particle formation and growth in plasma and hydrothermal reactors and on development of nanostructures in flame reactor will be discussed. The plasma reactor is widely used for semiconductor industries for thin film growth and etching, but it is quite notorious for particle contamination. The particle dynamics in plasma reactor were analyzed to understand the mechanism of particle growth in low pressure silane plasma process. The magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been of great interest for biomedical applications because of their excellent magnetic properties and the detailed mechanisms of Fe3O4 nanostructure development in hydrothermal process will be discussed.  The flame reactor can be used to prepare the nanostructured thin film on substrate rapidly. Several interesting features of nanostructures prepared by flame reactor and their potential applications will be elucidated.
